Beautiful Toilets

angel on Aug-26-2008

One of my favorite parts of the house is the bathroom. Why? Well, because it’s a private sanctuary where you can relax and relieve yourself at the same time. That’s why it should be clean and fragrant and should exude a sense of freshness. I love seeing bathrooms that are one of a kind. I’ve seen one before that’s like paradise. When you go inside, you’ll feel like you’re in a tropical island complete with stones on the floor, plants, waterfall in the walls, and the whole room smells like lilies. And their’s was one of the most beautiful toilets I’ve ever seen (or sat on, for that matter). It’s marvelous, I felt like I could stay there and have a nice bubble bath for hours. Haha. Have you ever seen a bathroom so beautiful and different that you can’t forget it?

Mac vs. PC

angel on Aug-17-2008

mac-vs-pc.jpg

Which do you think is better, Mac or PC? I’ve never tried a Mac, but they say it’s supposed to be really cool and superior than it’s PC counterpart. For me, I grew up using PC with Windows, so I can’t really compare it with the Mac, but if given the chance, I think I would be able to see whether what they’re all saying is true: that Mac is so much better. What is it about Mac anyway? It’s supposed to be a more reliable machine with no crashing problems, and it has a very comfortable environment to work with. Some people who have tried Mac say they won’t go back to PC. Now, I’m intrigued. I want to try the Mac experience! Hehe. If I were to own a Mac, I would have to be sure to upgrade the Mac memory, have some really cool programs and games installed and make sure that my machine is working fast enough. Of course, I’m just daydreaming again, but hey, you never know right? Maybe someone out there is going to give me Mac. LOL.

Electronics Talk

angel on Aug-16-2008

electronic.gifThere’s just so many technological innovations in this day and age, there are so many advances in science, technology, electronics… that it’s hard to keep up! Just recently, I was at the office and our technician was talking about electronic stuff. I don’t really know much about electronics but I listened in anyway. He was talking about DVD players and cables, and interfaces. Then he mentioned about HDMI. I was intrigued because that was the first time I came across this term, so I asked him what it means. He said it stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. I said, well, that sounds even more complicated. He laughed and proceeded to explain what it means. I can’t really relate to the things he said but I remember he said something about an HDMI wall plate and how it provides an interface between any audio/video source, like with DVD players or monitors. I found it really interesting, actually. Complicated, but interesting. Sometimes it’s just so unbelievable how people could come up with amazing innovations. I told him I’m not well versed in electronics and I’m not any good at them, but he told me that’s okay. I’m not the only one. Hahaha. How about you? Can you relate? :P

Get Your Own Checking Account

angel on Aug-10-2008

checks.jpgWhen it comes to financial matters, it’s good to have both savings account and checking account. It pays off, because sometimes when you don’t have cash at hand, it’s good to be able to just write a check and purchase whatever stuff you want to buy. Some people find it convenient to write checks so they get Checking Accounts from their banks. There are places which offer free checks so if you’re interested, might as well avail them. It all depends on you, whichever method you think fits you. You can use credit cards or cash, but there are people who prefer checks for their own personal reasons. And I think checks are professional looking, don’t you agree?

Addicted To Harley

Remember my friend who owns a Harley? Well, he decided to sell his bike yesterday, because he needed some money and it was the only option he had. He hated to part with his beloved bike, but he had to, because of financial reasons. But he told me he still would want to buy another Harley, but a much cheaper one compared to his. He didn’t want to buy any other bike, because he thinks Harleys are the best. So we checked out this place which sells used Harleys and tried to see which one he could buy. He said it wouldn’t be the same, but at least he could still ride, which is the one thing he really loves to do. So we checked out the bikes there, and he started thinking about which one he could actually buy. He saw some really cool stuff, but he told me he’s taking his time to decide. I told him, well, whatever he buys, I just wish he wouldn’t let me ride in one again. Hehe.

I Want A Beetle!

angel on Aug-9-2008

beetle-car.jpg

I’ve always wanted a car, I’ve longed for it since I don’t remember when. I particularly would love to have a beetle. I love it’s look, I think it’s perfect for women. And it’s not just to look cool or anything, I really need it because it’s convenient and it can get me anywhere I want to go, at anytime. And of course, with the ever increasing prices of public utility vehicles, having a car could really allow me to save in the long run.

But I know it’s not that easy to just decide to buy a car. There are so many things to consider, the biggest of which is money of course. When buying a car, it’s not just the price of the car itself that you have to worry about, you also have to be financially ready for all the other costs that go along with it, like car insurance, maintenance costs, repair costs, etc. (like the price of the car itself is not expensive enough already). Anyway, one thing I do know is that I can’t afford to buy myself a car. At least not just yet. But someday I hope I can afford to buy my own beetle. My fingers are crossed.

Fun For The Family

laughlin.jpg

I’ve heard of Vegas and Reno, I know that they’re the most visited destinations when it comes to fun and casinos. The third most visited, which I haven’t heard until now is Laughlin, Nevada. It’s supposed to be a friendlier, more family oriented alternative than Vegas and Reno, which are more adult-oriented. It’s popular as a resort destination and it offers outdoor and family activities for everyone. There are also laughlin hotels that provide luxurious accommodations. I’ve never been there, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy myself when given the chance to visit there. It sounds like a really nice and fun place. Have you guys been to Laughlin? What did you think about it?

Valuing Our Health

angel on Aug-6-2008

value-health.jpgNowadays, we can’t afford to get sick anymore. With high prices of medicine and hospitalization bills, getting seriously sick is a huge blow, not just to our bodies but to our pockets as well. Proper diet, a healthy lifestyle, plus taking multivitamins can only do so much. We can never really predict when sickness will occur, or when we will be struck by virus or bacteria. It always helps to be financially prepared. That’s why health insurance is so vital these days. Investing in one will allow you to rest easy knowing that in case of a health emergency, you’ll be sure that you’re going to be well taken care of. Life is worth living so we should learn to value our health. What do you say?

Great Interior Design

angel on Aug-4-2008

earthy-colors.jpg

I saw a magazine yesterday which featured a beautiful bedroom that I just can’t get out of my mind. If I had a room of my own, I’d definitely design it like that. It was reasonably roomy with earthy tones that make the whole room so pleasing and relaxing to the eyes. The room has only a few furniture, but it looked so perfectly put together. There was just the bed (looking big and cozy, I might add), a little side table, the plasma TV perched on the handsome tv lift cabinet, a couple of comfy chairs at one side and a little wooden table. And of course, there were artistic picture frames on the walls and beautiful lamps lighting the whole room. The scene was breathtaking. If I had to retire after an exhausting day, that room would be like a heavenly paradise. I’m not kidding. That room must have cost a fortune with just the interior design. I wish I could have a room like that someday. I’m just dreaming… don’t mind me. :P

Get Slim Quick?

angel on Aug-3-2008

lose-weight-fast.jpg

I love to eat. I can’t help but think that there are just so many delicious foods out there that are waiting to be tasted and eaten. But one thing I hate is the fact that I can’t eat as much as I want because my metabolism is slow and if I don’t watch what I eat, I could get fat easily. Add that to my fairly sedentary lifestyle, and you could say I’m really prone to being overweight. Thankfully, I can be determined when I want to, so I can pretty much maintain my normal weight. But I do wish I have something that will allow me to eat anything I want, whenever I want, and in whatever quantity I want it. I wish there was a fat burner that could speed up my metabolism a little bit. A friend of mine recommended Slimquick, which she got from the Internet. It’s a diet pill that is supposed to be specifically for females. I don’t know, though. I’m quite hesitant, what do you think? Do you think it’s worth a try?

Pesky Pimples

angel on Jul-26-2008

acne-treatment.jpgPimples and acne are pesky little things, aren’t they? People who say they’re harmless are largely mistaken. The truth is, acne and pimples can have a significant impact in a person’s self esteem. Even though they always say that beauty shouldn’t just be skin deep, the fact is, having pimples and acne is embarrassing especially if they’re all over your face! Those who have battled with acne for most of their lives could attest to that. Some people are blessed because they only have to deal with a pimple or two at certain points, but those that have them sprouting everywhere, these people can really say that acne is ruining their social lives. That’s why they try every single acne treatment out in the market today to get rid of these unsightly things. Some are effective, some aren’t. And some people are never really able to lead normal lives because of this. They say acne is caused by many factors… stress, diet, etc. But ultimately they’re caused by overactive hormones. Aargh, acne is such a pain in the butt, don’t you agree?

Massage - A Great Way To Relax

angel on Jul-19-2008

massage.jpgAre you one of those people who like to pamper themselves? Are you the kind of person who loves going to spas? Me, I love spas and the one service that I get there more often than others is their massage. It’s just so relaxing and stress relieving. Have you ever had a massage? If you haven’t experienced it, I urge you to try it. There’s nothing more relaxing than to lie down in a room, forget all your worries for a little while, and have your muscles relieved of their pent up tension. The first time I had a massage, I loved it so much that I had to include it as part of my monthly routine. I’ve had massages that are great, but I’ve also had ones that weren’t so great. It depends on the massage therapist that works on you. Nowadays, massage is becoming so popular that there are lots of massage therapy schools cropping up around the world. See, beauty is no longer just limited to having a haircut or a facial, people are now recognizing the benefits of massage in our overall health. Massage releases toxins and makes us feel good. It’s no wonder so many people are going to school just to learn how to do a massage. It’s such a great skill to hone.
