They say that home is not a place, it’s a person. But what they fail to realize is that home isn’t human, nor is it tangible. Rather, it is a part of us. It is every place and every person and every thing that we’ve touched and that has touched us. Buildings crumble and people leave but we can always return to our memories. Home is my mother’s voice. The theme song of my favorite childhood TV show. It is the sound my camera makes when I wind the film. The feeling of my guitar strings against my fingertips. The smell of coffee. The first rain of every summer. You know how everyone says that home is where the heart is? Well, they’ve got it backwards. My heart is where my home is.

People you love are going to disappoint you, and if you can’t forgive them for not being perfect, you’re going to end up alone.

I’ve also been having itchy skin and congested nose and I think it has something to do with the air inside my home. It really needs to be purified, and who wouldn’t want to inhale clean air, right? Let’s face it, we can’t see these allergy-causing particles, so the best we can do is prevent it from entering our rooms and the spaces where we live. This is where an air purifier comes in handy because its main function is to rid the air of these particles and purify it. I think I’ll also buy one, maybe I will make this my new project. I’ve mentioned before that my grandpa loves to smoke cigars. This weekend I visited their house and guess what I brought him? I gave him his favorite dutch masters cigars and he was so happy! I couldn’t forget the way his face lit up when I showed him the gift I brought. I felt warm inside me especially after he hugged me and said thank you with so much sincerity. It’s just a little thing, but the joy that you feel when your loved ones face light up, it’s beyond words. We need to do more of these little favors to show our thoughtfulness and love for our family and friends.
