I’m lying in bed, listening to the rain outside. I could hear the sound of the wind chimes as it sways with the cold breeze. I like the sound, it reminds me of my childhood. Then I put on some nostalgic music, and I start to let thoughts flow through my mind. I think of the things that happened today, and also the things that I have yet to do. See, it’s easy to lose track of the important things when you don’t pause and give yourself time to think for a while. Although sometimes I distract myself to avoid thinking, right now I just want to reflect on things. It’s a chilly afternoon, the breeze and the rain are lulling me to sleep. I really love listening to music and just relaxing in this kind of weather. I think I’m going to let my thoughts drift me to sleep.

We don’t need to rush. If something’s bound to happen, it will happen. In the right time, with the right person and for the best reason.

We visited a construction site today, it was one of those spur of the moment things that my friends and I do sometimes. We went to the nearby school that’s being constructed. My friend’s cousin works there and so we went on a tour around the site. I’ve never really done this before, so I’m glad I’m doing something new. It was really fascinating seeing all the workers with all their carpentry tools, machines, abrasives and whatnot. We wore a hard hat and were guided along the site. It was a really nice tour. If you haven’t done this yet, try it for yourself!

You know when you’re singing along with this song, and you know all the words cause you really love it. Then a train passes and a door closes, and you can’t hear the music anymore, but you keep singing anyway. Then, when you can hear it again, you’re still perfectly in time with it. Well, that’s what love is.

One of my favorite bathroom vanities is the bath tub. I really really love it. It’s such a nice comfort after a long and stressful day. I always look forward to just soaking my tired limbs and relaxing with my favorite music. I also like going to the spa, “me” time is very important. We need to learn to pamper ourselves once in a while. I’m not saying we should be vain or anything like that, pampering yourself sometimes is great, just don’t overdo it that you turn into a narcissistic person. Haha. It’s good if we take the weekend off to enjoy ourselves, or after a job well done we can reward ourselves with some pampering. It can be as simple as soaking in the tub with a bubble bath and treating yourself to some chocolate when you’ve been dieting all week. But again, don’t overdo it.

I understand that your heart is broken. You’re sad. I get it. But don’t let that stop you from living your life. Get out of bed every morning. Do your makeup. Smile. Get through the day. And whenever you don’t feel up to it, just look at the boy who did this to you. Do you think he cried himself to sleep last night? Probably not. As a matter of fact, I’ll bet you that he’s doing just fine. So when you wake up and you feel like laying in bed all day, just remember that he has other plans.
