Just Thinking

…that’s why you didn’t fight for me.
…that’s why you denied your feelings.
…that’s why you chose to walk away.
…that’s why you left me.
…that’s why you let me go.
…that’s why you wouldn’t take a risk.
…that’s why you acted like a jerk.
…that’s why you gave up.
…that’s why you didn’t give everything you can.
…that’s why you set so many limitations.
…that’s why you refused to open up.
…that’s why you cried.
…that’s why you couldn’t commit.
…that’s why you made all those excuses.
…that’s why you won’t give in to love.
…that’s why you failed.
Maybe you were just afraid.

I wanted to take up business management at some point. If only a course in commerce was allowed in our high school, it would have been the course for me. My mom and dad are accountants by profession and so I always pictured I would get one of those accounting jobs out there. But sadly, only Math, Science, and Technology courses were allowed. That’s what I get for graduating in a science high school. They paid for everything but you have to promise to take only the allowed courses when you graduate. But I don’t have any regrets though. High school was such a fulfilling time for me and the experience I had, I’ll never trade it for anything. Being able to take up your dream course, that’s a good thing. But what really matters is what you do after college. If you get a job that’s not even related to your college course, then what good is it, right? I guess what really matters is that you do what you love, so that in the end, you’ll have no regrets!
