I think I’m getting a zit again. Talk about bad timing! I have a date in 2 days! I hope this zit subsides soon. I don’t have acne treatments on hand to cure this thing. How many of you guys hate it if you have to go on a social function and then have pimples appearing a few days before that? Not so good timing, huh? But keep in mind that if you meet a good guy, it won’t matter to him if you have a zit. Haha. What matters is how good you are in handling the date. If you’re a fun person, let it show. As for me, I still will go and have fun on that date. It’s fun getting to know people and having good conversations with them, and I won’t let a zit get in the way and prevent me from doing that.

Do you love yourself? How is your self worth? A lot of people don’t really give that question much thought. We go through life without really pausing to think how much we value ourselves. Am I right? Well, for those who love themselves enough to take care of themselves and know how beautiful they are even though they’re not thin or flawless or they’re not tall enough because their human growth hormones (hgh) were not too generous on them… regardless of all these imperfections, you are in fact BEAUTIFUL. Realize your self worth, because if you don’t, no one else will!

Okay, I’m declaring today as “pig out” day! Woohoo!!! If you are one of those who NEED to watch what they eat in order to maintain their weight, then cheer up, coz you’re not alone. And we all need days where we can just eat whatever we want without feeling guilty! Who’s with me? Now, that’s the attitude. I’m not saying to binge and eat carelessly. What I’m saying is, for me at least, this is the day when I can treat myself to my favorite food, like ice cream, pizza, pasta, etc. Of course, overeating should be avoided. Just enough to reward myself for a job well done, and for having the discipline to eat healthy. We need to reward ourselves once in a while. Don’t think about your diet, or the calories, or your herbal slimming pills at home. Just let all thoughts go, and just enjoy the food. Trust me, you deserve it.

God wants you to know… that when you feel down, look at yourself through God’s eyes. There are times when no matter how hard you try, you just cannot accept yourself as you are. During such times, think of how you look to God’s eyes. In God’s eyes, there is no judgment, there is only acceptance. God sees your light when all that you can see are your shadows. God loves you more than anyone could ever love you as you really are.

It’s okay to ask for help. Sometimes we get overwhelmed with the details and complexities of our lives. Sometimes we need some help to get untangled, to gain a new perspective. Ask for help. Help may come in human or divine form. It may be seen or unseen. Ask, and ye shall receive.

My friend bought her own laptop today. It’s about time! And she’s thrilled that she got herself a 3 year laptop warranty when mostly they only give 1 year. Nowadays, laptops are fast becoming a need than a luxury. It’s just very convenient to be able to bring your work anywhere, anytime. People are also becoming more and more addicted to the Internet, what with the advent of Social Networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. Even kids know how to tweet, for crying out loud! So my friend is happy that she got herself a nice new toy, I’d say she’s on her way to becoming tech-savvy as the rest of us.

I know a lot of girls in real life who started out as not-so-beautiful and not so popular, but turned out really beautifully as they grew up. Who of you were ugly ducklings before? You know, back when you were still young, awkward, wearing mismatched clothes, popping zits and you wish so hard you were invisible? Okay, well I guess not all can relate to that, but there are people who feel this way, and although it can serve as character building, I don’t think people should feel this way. We are all beautiful in our own way! And besides, beauty is relative. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So don’t ever think that you’re ugly and that you don’t deserve to be loved, because even the most unlovable person here on Earth deserves to be loved. You are a child of God and you are created in His own image, therefore, you are SPECIAL. Don’t ever forget that.

On this day, God wants you to know… that when you need some energy and inspiration, step outside. Touch the Earth with your feet, lift your face to the sun, breathe the air, listen to the birds and the wind through the trees. Glory in the creation that surrounds you.

Awww… I miss my friend! What is it about October that most people love getting married on that month? Just the other day, my friend announced suddenly that she was getting married! I didn’t even see that coming, I never even thought of her as the marrying type. But apparently, she’s in love. Her boyfriend of 3 years finally took the courage to propose to her. This friend of mine was taking gmat prep classes because she wants to get into a good MBA school, and now on top of her study plans, she has to marry! Of course, if she’s sensible, she wouldn’t throw away her dreams once she’s married. After all, just because she’s married, it doesn’t mean she has to give up her dream of becoming a successful businesswoman. That’s the thing in life, sometimes we get so caught up in one thing that we tend to forget other things. Don’t let it happen to you, guys! Always strive to have balance! And never ever give up your dreams! Even if you change your surname!

One thing that makes family life appealing to me are the kids. I know some people find them messy and quite a handful, but that’s part of their charm. I love seeing kids playing around like that’s the only thing important in their world, seeing them play with other kids, have the time of their lives with dolls, riding toys and make believe stories… the gift of innocence. I love hearing the laughter of kids, they’re so pure and untarnished. Life can bring heavy blows, but kids should be spared from that. They deserve to see life as a fairy tale, where they are the main characters. When they grow up, they will not be immune to the heavy blows of life, but while they’re still kids, they deserve to have that period wherein all they need to do is play, laugh, and be loved. Building a family is not easy, but it’s definitely worth it. You meet someone, you fall in love, you marry, then you have kids to complete the family. Life becomes more worthwhile if you have a family by your side. It makes the whole ride an exciting one.
