Don’t Let Go of Hope

angel on Aug-20-2009

Hope gives you the strength to keep going
when you feel like giving up.

Don’t ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can, you will have
a reason for trying.

Don’t let anyone hold your happiness in
their hands; hold it in your own, so it will
always be within your reach.

Don’t measure success or failure by
material wealth, but by how you feel. Our feelings
determine the riches in our lives.

Don’t let bad moments overcome you. Be
patient, and they will pass.

Don’t hesitate to reach out for help; we all
need it from time to time.

Don’t runaway from Love, but towards love;
because it is our deepest joy.

Don’t wait for what you want to come to you.
Go after it with all that you are; knowing
that life will meet you half way.

Don’t feel like you’ve lost when plans and
dreams fall short of your hopes.

Anytime you learn something new about
yourself, or about life, you have progressed.

Don’t do anything that takes away from
your self-respect. Feeling good about yourself
is essential to feeling good about life.

Don’t ever forget how to laugh or be too
proud to cry. It is by doing both that we live
life to the fullest.

Weight Loss Supplements

angel on Aug-20-2009

Have you guys ever tried weight loss supplements? I’m not talking about diet pills, I’m talking about supplements that facilitate weight loss. There are products that do this, right? Like protein shakes that you could substitute for meals. You get more nutrients for less calories. There are also snacks like organic granola bars and stuff like that. Have you ever tried these things? I think supplements are better than diet pills. It also disciplines the mind, at least it’s not a quick fix. And quick fixes usually don’t last long anyway. Although if you’re thinking of losing weight, it’s really good if you do it the healthy way.

Just Trust Him

angel on Aug-20-2009

There comes a time in our lives, or even just a time in our busy days, when we pause, reflect and think about our LIVES. We’re consumed by a lot of thoughts and emotions. Sometimes when these thoughts rush into our minds, we turn and question God. We ask questions like, “Why? How? When?” And most often than not, we don’t really get the answers we seek for. Sometimes, we feel sad, and tears will just roll out from our eyes. It’s not depression, it’s just good old melancholic sadness that envelops us.

We look at our lives, and we see some of the empty spaces, we pick out the areas that are lacking, and we ask ourselves, are we really “living”? Or are we merely existing? But even though there are times when we think about these things… it’s kind of a relief sometimes too, because then we get to talk to God. And we realize that all we can really do is trust Him. We can go through our lives either blindly or with a purpose, we can move forward with or without plans, but ultimately, it’s His plan up there that matters. And all we can really do is ask, pray, and have faith. Let’s not dwell on the sadness. Because even though we feel the sadness sometimes, we can still revel in the happiness that life brings. Just Trust Him.

Prevention Is Always Better Than Cure

angel on Aug-17-2009

Since it’s rainy season, a lot of people are getting sick nowadays. Some diseases are caused by mosquitoes, bad drinking water, bacteria, etc. So we should be more careful. We have to take precautionary measures while we can. Invest in important things, like installing water filters in your home. Reserve a handy stock of mosquito repellents, anti-bacterial neutralizers, and other things that can prevent diseases in your home. We should be more preventive now. After all, prevention is better than the cure, right?

Sweet Letter

angel on Aug-14-2009

I got a letter from a reader, and I couldn’t help but smile. It’s a wonderful thing to be appreciated by someone for what you do. It’s a pleasure for me to read this letter, that’s why I’m posting it here. I know I’m feeling a little guilty, because I haven’t been updating this blog with inspiring thoughts and entries lately… but I’ve just been very busy that I barely have time to ponder. Anyway, I’ll try to get inspired again, and hopefully be able to post inspirational stuff again. To Nhu, thank you so much for your letter. May God bless you always.

From: Nhu
Subject: A letter of gratefulness
Message: Hello to you. This is probably the most random email you’ve received from anyone that you don’t know. I’m a reader of your blog and to my surprise, I woke up this morning with many discouragements; of life, my life. I decided to write a letter to a stranger. I find the stories and quotes that you collect as well as your everyday thoughts to be the most inspiring. Stories that not only bring me a step closer to being happy but a million steps closer to God. Whenever I need that one shot of motivation, one of the few things that I can do is turn to you. Your insights often make me look at the better perspective of life. Nothing can be as relevant to how I’m feeling as the subject of your writings. I feel as though you know what I need to hear or what I need to know living in this world. Sometime, it’s amazing how one single quote can be encouraging enough for me to get through the day. You are one great source of inspiration and I know that you are happy with what you do with this website. Keep doing what you’re doing, even if it is with little effort.

A Little Bit Of Shopping

angel on Aug-9-2009

My friend has to go shopping for some furniture for their new home this weekend and she asked me to accompany her. I’m not really good when it comes to shopping, like choosing the right stuff, and what’s in and practical… but I went with her anyway. We started off with the dining table, then we went to look at clothing cabinets. Our last stop is in the section where they sell tv stands of all shapes and sizes. It was hard to choose! But in the end, she bought a nice stand good for a 24 inch TV and has a compartment for CD’s and DVD’s as well as for the DVD player and whatnot. She had it delivered for next week. It was a tiring day for the both of us, shopping can really take a lot out of you. Hehe.

Health First!

angel on Aug-7-2009

We all know that the late Cory Aquino died of colon cancer. More people are now curious about the disease. What really is colon cancer, what are the causes, symptoms, preventive measures, cure, etc. I won’t even attempt to explain the disease, go look it up in Google or something. Anyway… we all need to take care of our colons. Doctors even recommend doing some kind of colon cleansing at least a few times a year to keep our colons in tip-top shape. When it comes to our health, nothing should be taken for granted. We should always put our healths first, so we don’t let diseases rob us of our lives too early.

Treasure Every Moment

angel on Aug-3-2009

To realize the value of ONE MONTH,
ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of ONE WEEK,
ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize the value of ONE HOUR,
ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of ONE MINUTE,
ask a person who missed the train.

To realize the value of ONE SECOND,
ask a person who just avoided an accident.

To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND,
ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

Treasure every moment that you have!
Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift.
That’s why it’s called the present!

Boring Weekend

angel on Aug-3-2009

It’s been a stormy weekend, and what’s worse, there’s no electricity! I hate having to stay at home without electricity, because then I can’t do anything. All around the city, the lights are out, televisions are off, and people are only relying on battery powered radios to get updates on the current weather. It’s really a bummer when you’re stuck at home during weekends with absolutely nothing to do. I’d like to be productive as much as possible, so if I wanna relax, I want to be able to do the things I do that makes me relax… like listen to music, watch TV, play the piano, surf the Net, play PC games. But if there’s no electricity, I can’t do any of that. Oh well, at least I got to sleep for a while longer and I got to read untouched books. Hehe.

Mesothelioma Lawyers

angel on Aug-3-2009

Asbestos is a cause of so many diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma. Repeated exposure to this substance can cause sickness that has robbed the lives of many. I heard that we can actually file a legal claim against people or companies that manufacture, sell or install asbestos products. There are even Mesothelioma lawyers available now to help victims and their families to address medical and financial issues regarding their disease. This is actually a good thing. It’s nice to know that these victims are not alone and that they can count on professionals who are well versed with the law to help them out.
