With the influenza virus (H1N1) being widespread and pandemic in certain countries, people are scared to even get out of the house! Taking care of our health is of utmost importance, especially now that there are so many diseases cropping up, it’s crazy! Companies like Blue Cross North Carolina that offer health services could really help. They provide quality products and services, as well as information to improve the health and well-being of their customers. We should all learn to take care of our health. Our lives depend on it.

New House

angel on Jun-19-2009

I got this invite from a high school friend of mine, asking me to come visit her new place. I was psyched, of course. It’s been ages since I saw her, and I’m really excited to see her new house. So then we went on a tour of her house. She let me inspect every nook and cranny, from the undermount sink in her kitchen to the elaborate living room and the beautiful master’s bedroom. It was a really nice house. I loved the atmosphere and the interior. I definitely would be spending more time there. Hehe.

Love What You Do

angel on Jun-16-2009

I’m not really a follower of golf, but I can understand the enthusiasm that golf players have whenever they play the sport. I once saw a show where the guy was a golf expert and he would show off all his golf trophies in his house. It must feel really to be accomplished in your chosen field, to excel in something that you’re passionate about. Not just in golf or any other sport, but in everything that we attempt to do. I’ve always thought that if a person loves what he’s doing, it won’t seem like work at all, it would be enjoyable, and chances are, he will excel in that particular area. Don’t you agree?

I’ve Learned

angel on Jun-13-2009

I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you.
All you can do is be someone who can be loved.
The rest is up to them.
I’ve learned that no matter how much I care,
some people just don’t care back.
And it’s not the end of the world.
I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust,
and only seconds to destroy it.
I’ve learned that it’s not what you have in your life,
but who you have in your life that counts.
I’ve learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you’d better know something.

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare yourself
to the best others can do,
but to the best you can do.
I’ve learned that it’s not what happens to people,
It’s what they do about it.
I’ve learned that no matter how thin you slice it,
there are always two sides.
I’ve learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I’ve learned that you can keep going
long after you think you can’t.

I’ve learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
When it needs to be done
regardless of the consequences.
I’ve learned that there are people who love you dearly,
but just don’t know how to show it.
I’ve learned that sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
I’ve learned that true friendship continues to grow even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I’ve learned that just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to
doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.

I’ve learned that no matter how good a friend is,
they’re going to hurt you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I’ve learned that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken,
the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
I’ve learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I’ve learned that just because two people argue, it doesn’t mean that they don’t love each other.
And just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.

I’ve learned that sometimes you have to put the individual
ahead of their actions.
I’ve learned that two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.
I’ve learned that no matter the consequences,
those who are honest with themselves get farther in life.
I’ve learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours
by people who don’t even know you.
I’ve learned that even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you,
you will find the strength to help.

I’ve learned that writing,
as well as talking,
can ease emotional pains.
I’ve learned that the people you care most about in life
are taken from you too soon.
I’ve learned that it’s hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice
and not hurting people’s feelings and standing up for what you believe.
I’ve learned to love
and be loved.
I’ve learned…

Working Out

angel on Jun-13-2009

Ever since I started going to the gym, I slowly started to appreciate myself better. I feel more confident and I feel healthier. It’s not just because I’ve slimmed down, but it’s the rush that I feel when I’m working a sweat. There’s something really satisfying about doing cardio exercises that train the heart, and after working out, I feel lighter every time. A friend of mine, recently recommended yet another diet pill, called Phenphedrine, and she was telling me how it speeds up metabolism. I was tempted to take it, but I said I’ll pass. Some people might have increased benefits using it, but for me, I’ll stick to working out for now.

Buying Your Own House

angel on Jun-12-2009

My friend told me about this cool house and lot that she was planning on buying. It’s very affordable and can be paid by taking out a housing loan, which can be spread out in 20-30 years. The house doesn’t have any furniture or anything, just 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, which is perfect for a family starting out. I wanted to buy one too, but I still can’t afford it. I think this is really a good investment, since lots never depreciate, right? I think I’m going to buy my own once I get enough money. How about you, when are you planning to buy your own house and lot, and what are your considerations in buying one?

IT In Demand

angel on Jun-12-2009

My friend applied for programming jobs abroad, because they say IT is a field that’s in demand there. If I knew how to do programming, I would have applied too, but unfortunately, I never got to master that skill. I guess I just don’t have the patience to analyze and optimize source code. Hehe. It’s just too time consuming and complicated. But I do envy those who can do excellent programming, because it really IS very useful to know how to code. Since the world right now is run by the Internet, it’s a very useful skill to develop. Do you know how to program?

Public Speaking

angel on Jun-10-2009

I remember when I was in elementary, we were required to do a declamation piece in front of the whole class in our English subject. I hate speaking in front of people. I get this public speaking anxiety every time. I don’t know why, I guess my mind is just wired that way. I’ve never outgrown that fear of public speaking, not even now that I’m already 25 years old. It’s a good thing my work is confined to a computer screen the whole day. No need for public speaking. Hehehe.

Baby Shopping Is Fun!

angel on Jun-9-2009

My cousins and I were at the mall the other day to shop for baby things for our baby cousin. We bought lots of stuff, toys, clothes, pillows, bath supplies, etc. I enjoy baby shopping mainly because the things you see are really cute and it makes me want to have my own baby even more. What really caught my eye when we were browsing through stuff was the Bob stroller. It was really pretty and cool. If I had a baby, I would definitely want something that chic for my little one.
