You know what’s sad about love? It’s when you happen to know that there’s just no hope for you to be together yet you still pray to make it work. It’s when your mind says let go but your heart says hold on. It’s when you dream of that person almost every night only to wake up in the morning with tears in your eyes. And most of all, it’s when no matter how you try to forget that person, you just can’t… ’cause of the fact that you love that person and you just don’t know why.

I got home yesterday and I noticed that some of my neighbors were busy talking with each other in a huddle. I approached them and asked what the commotion was about. They said that someone got robbed. And it happened to someone who didn’t live very far away from us! They said the robber got a few valuables like TV, and other jewelry. Just the fact that someone got into a house, undetected, in broad daylight, that’s really scary. I think we would all do well to install some kind of wireless alarm to keep those criminals away. We could never be too safe these days.

• Stay away from negative conversations and from negative people.
• Don’t hold grudges. Learn to forget and forgive. Nurturing ill feelings and grievances hurts you and causes lack of sleep.
• Accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries.
• Every day we face numerous inconveniences, irritations and situations that are beyond our control. If we can change them, that’s fine, but this is not always possible. We must learn to put up with such things and accept them cheerfully.
• Learn to be more patient and tolerant with people and events.
• Don’t take everything too personally. Some emotional and mental detachment is desirable. Try to view your life and other people with a little detachment and less involvement. Detachment is not indifference, lack of interest or coldness. It is the ability to think and judge impartially and logically. Don’t worry if again and again you fail to manifest detachment. Just keep trying.
• Let bygones be gone. Forget the past and concentrate on the present moment. There is no need to evoke unpleasant memories and immerse yourself in them.

My friends are furnishing their new apartment bit by bit. Last week, they bought a living room table and floor mat, tatami style. It was really cool. Then yesterday, they bought a dining table and gas stove. They also bought other stuff to accessorize. Next week, they’re going to buy a new television and tv mount. In fact, we’re going to the appliance center to check out what’s good. It’s fun shopping for home stuff, I’m actually enjoying myself. Hehe.

I’ve been wanting to get busy for some time, and finally I got my wish. I’ve been out of town, attending birthdays and parties. I’ve been going to the gym, class, work, movies, escapades, it’s crazy… but fun! In fact, I’ve been staying up late every night for the past few days because there’s just so much to do and so little time to do it! When I finally go to sleep at around 1am to 2am… when the light bulbs go out, I just barely have a minute or two to pray and then I doze off. Haha. But I’m not complaining… it’s fun being busy. Hehe.
