Cruises

angel on Apr-16-2009

I have always been a fan of cruises. I’ve never been seasick in my entire life and I love everything about the ocean, its smell, its color, the feel of the ocean breeze in my skin… everything! I’ve always dreamed of being in a cruise myself. Perhaps a singles cruise would be interesting. But unfortunately, it’s too much of a stretch on my budget. I’ve also wanted to work in a cruise ship, that way I could experience everything without actually paying. Hahaha. What type of cruise do you like to go to?

Mesothelioma

angel on Apr-16-2009

When Francis Magalona died, everyone was saddened. He died of cancer, which is a very serious disease that is feared by a lot of people. Francis M’s disease was called leukemia, a cancer of the blood or bone marrow. Another type of cancer is mesothelioma, a form of cancer caused by repeated exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is a mineral that is popular among manufacturers and builders because of its useful properties that can be used in construction. So people who are working in construction and manufacturing are usually the victims of this type of cancer. Cancer is everywhere and if we don’t take care of our health, and avoid the things that can cause cancer, then we can all be victims of the disease. Always put your health first!

Nature Person

angel on Apr-14-2009

I’ve always been a nature person. I love to go nature tripping, hiking, taking photographs of nature, the smell of flowers and trees. I wish there was a forest or grove here in our city, filled with orange and Plum trees, shrubs and flowers scattered everywhere. I could definitely relax in that setting. Unfortunately though, I don’t get to have that experience in the city where I live. Unless I purposely travel. So for those who have nature practically in their backyard or just a stroll away, take advantage of its beauty. You’re lucky you get to experience that.

About Mother Teresa

angel on Apr-11-2009

When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread.
But a person who is shut out, who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, the person who has been thrown out of society –
That spiritual poverty is much harder to overcome.
Those who are materially poor can be very wonderful people.

One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street.
And one of them was in a most terrible condition.
I told the Sisters:
“You take care of the other three; I will take care of the one who
Looks worse.” So I did for her all that my love can do.
I put her in bed,
And there was such a beautiful smile on her face.
She took hold of my hand,
As she said one word only: “Thank you” — and she died.
I could not help but examine my conscience before her.
And I asked: “What would I say if I were in her place?“
And my answer was very simple.
I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself.
I would have said: “I am hungry,
I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something.
But she gave me much more — she gave me her grateful love.
And she died with a smile on her face.
Then there was the man we picked up from the drain, half-eaten
By worms and, after we had brought him to the home, he only said,
“I have lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die as an angel, loved and cared for.”
Then, after we had removed all the worms from his body,
All he said, with a big smile, was: “Sister, I am going home to God” — and he died.

It was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could
Speak like that without blaming anybody, without comparing anything.
Like an angel — this is the greatness of people who are spiritually
Rich even when they are materially poor….

I Want A DSLR Camera!

angel on Apr-9-2009

I’ve always loved photography. It’s just recently that I’ve started to get serious about it, and really pursue it. The problem is, I don’t have a DSLR camera, and I really really want to have a Canon Digital Rebel xTi. I’ve looked around in the malls to see if they’ve been put on sale, but I found none. According to my friend, the camera costs around $600 and that’s an awful lot of money for my budget. I have to save up to get one. I really wish one kind soul would give me a DSLR camera. Hehe. Just wishful thinking.

Diet Pill

angel on Apr-9-2009

Do you believe in fast weight loss? Have you come across a diet pill that actually really works? I don’t really advocate losing weight in a fast pace. I still think that a gradual shedding of pounds plus a healthy diet is the way to go. It’s normal to want to lose those unwanted inches as soon as possible, but impatience leads to crash diets and all kinds of diet products that usually do more harm than good. So if you really want to take pills, be sure to do your research and get the right one for you.
