Despedida

angel on Nov-14-2008

Yesterday, I got a call from my cousin, saying I should go over to their house because her sister is going to Canada in a few days, and they were having a small get-together of family and friends to wish her well. I didn’t hesitate, I agreed. It was a nice, little celebration. When I arrived at their house, I saw all her luggage packed and ready to go. I felt a small pang of jealousy. See, I’ve always wanted to go abroad, maybe get a job there and settle down. I just don’t feel like this place, where I am now, is where I’m supposed to be. I looked at my cousin, and I wish I were going with her. Oh well, I do know that if something is not meant for you, it’s not meant for you. So I just enjoyed myself in the party and wished my cousin a safe and enjoyable flight.

Country Decor

angel on Nov-14-2008

I recently visited the new house of a good friend of mine. They have just finished decorating the place and she wanted me to see it. The house was finely decorated, it was simple but very classy. I liked the theme, it’s like a cross between country and urban. The bit I liked most were the bamboo blinds hanging over the windows. It gave a fresh, country-like feeling to the place, I felt like I was in a rest house. I usually see venetian blinds in most houses I go to, but those were like a breath of fresh air. They gave the whole room a sense of calmness. I liked the whole theme, to be honest. Two thumbs up!

Alone

Let’s always remember that sometimes, we just have to stop pushing ourselves to love or be loved by someone. Sometimes we just have to be alone to be able to think about what we really want in life… to be able to realize what or who will really make us happy. Sometimes it is only when we start loving ourselves that we are able to realize that real and lasting happiness starts from within ourselves and becomes even more complete when we share it with someone who truly loves us.

Obesity And Pills

angel on Nov-12-2008

Have you guys tried taking supplements to help you lose weight? If you have, do you think a diet pill could effectively aid in the weight loss process? I know I’ve written posts about weight loss and diet pills quite a few times but obesity is such a prevalent problem in our world today that I guess you can never really talk about it enough. If you have never been obese or fat your entire life, then you probably couldn’t relate, but for those who have always struggled with their weight, I’m sure at least once in their lifetime, they’ve considered taking various products like diet pills, hoping that these will solve their weight problems. I have yet to see a product that is really effective and has lots of people convinced that it actually works. Have you tried one that you know works absolutely well? But still, for me, it all boils down to healthy living and correct diet and exercise. That is the most crucial step you can make in your fight against obesity.

Leptovox

angel on Nov-12-2008

A friend of mine was discussing to me the other day the benefits of the new diet pill she’s into. It’s called Leptovox and according to her research, it’s clinically proven to aid weight loss and improve and beautify the skin as well. She wanted my honest opinion whether or not I think it’s a good diet pill. I didn’t have much to say, except to study the product well, before actually taking it. I haven’t tried taking pills to lose weight, but I’m sure there are supplements out there that are bound to work if coupled with the right exercise and diet regimen. I don’t know if she decided to take the pills, but I do know that she’s going to look carefully into it before she actually decides. And good for her for doing that.

Faith And Acceptance

It’s amazing the peace of mind you get when you’ve come to terms with acceptance. It’s amazing how clear things become when you’ve opened your heart to the inevitable. In life, you’ll never get everything you want. Your maturity and strength as a person are not measured by the number of victories you acquire but in your willingness to admit defeat when you know you’ve lost.

Oftentimes, we are given problems and dilemmas that will test our ability to deal with life. It’s difficult to accept things that give us pain and suffering. But acceptance is not merely ‘admitting defeat’ or ‘ceasing to fight’ or ’surrendering’. When you look at it in a much bigger perspective, it’s actually embracing the truth and welcoming the bittersweet fact that there is a reason why these things have to happen to us when they do. It’s especially difficult when you don’t see that “reason”, and you feel so miserable… but once your heart is really open for acceptance, you have to have faith too — that God has a plan, and that there is something else waiting for you.

Equestrian Daydream

angel on Nov-9-2008

I was watching this equestrian program and it reminded me how I’ve always wanted to learn how to ride a horse. I like watching these people on english saddles riding their horses, it seems like a really exciting sport. I’ve always imagined what it would be like, riding a horse i mean… the wind whipping your face and blowing your hair, it’s thrilling to think about. Sadly, I guess it will only remain in my imagination, since I don’t really know if I could ever ride a horse in real life. I’d be too scared, or maybe it’s just impossible. I’ve never even touched a horse my whole life! But I wouldn’t give up hope, maybe someday, I could finally get to feel what’s it like to ride such a handsome animal. What about you, have you ridden a horse before? What does it feel like?

When I Met You

angel on Nov-8-2008

lovers-walking.jpgThis, right here, is one of my favorite OPM songs of all time. If I were to get married, I’d definitely sing this to the man I’m marrying on our wedding day. In fact, I promised a friend of mine I’ll sing this on his wedding. “When I Met You” is such a beautiful, wonderfully written song. I like the original version by Apo Hiking Society, but I especially love Sarah Geronimo’s version, which is a slower, more romantic version of the song.

Even though I haven’t found the man I’m going to marry yet, this song fills my heart with a warm glow that makes me long for that day when I’m finally going to sing it to the man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with…

There I was, an empty piece of a shell
Just minding my own world
Without even knowing what love and life were all about
Then you came, you brought me out of my shell
You gave the world to me, and before I knew
There I was so in love with you

You gave me a reason for my being
And I love what I’m feeling
You gave me a meaning to my life
Yes, I’ve gone beyond existing
And it all began when I met you

I love the touch of your hair
And when I look in your eyes
I just know, I know, I’m on to something good
And I’m sure, my love for you will endure
Your love light up my world and take all my cares
Away where they can’t bother me

You taught me how to love
You showed me how tomorrow and today
My love, is different from the yesterday
I knew, you taught me to love
And darling I will always cherish you
Today, tomorrow and forever…

And I’m sure, when the evening will come around
I know we’ll be making love like never before
My love, who could ask for more?

Science & Technology

angel on Nov-7-2008

With the advances in technology today in virtually all kinds of fields, it’s no wonder what we humans can achieve. In the medical field, there’s DNA testing, artificial insemination, even cloning! I mean, imagine creating a replica of a human being! With these advances in medicine, they say they can even cure cancer now, right? To think that years ago, it’s an incurable disease. Scientists and medical inventors are always coming up with new ways to impress the world, and some of them are really mind-blowing. What’s next on this seemingly endless quest for knowledge and technology? Only time can tell…

MTV Cribs

angel on Nov-4-2008

I’m not so much a fan of television, but one TV show I do love is MTV Cribs. I love watching celebrities’ homes and take a peek at their lives, their living rooms, and oh, their cars of course. Most of these houses are so unbelievably huge and impressive. They’ve got their own studios, swimming pools, basketball courts, spacious lawns, even their very own cinemas with those cool and comfy home theater seating, you know, those seats that you just want to lounge on because they look so soft and inviting.

Anyways, I could just imagine myself lounging in one of those and watching all my favorite flicks in a huge, cinema like screen complete with surround sound. Now that’s what you call entertainment. I love seeing different homes with stylish interior designs and MTV Cribs showcases that. It’s definitely one show I enjoy watching.
