Faith And Acceptance
It’s amazing the peace of mind you get when you’ve come to terms with acceptance. It’s amazing how clear things become when you’ve opened your heart to the inevitable. In life, you’ll never get everything you want. Your maturity and strength as a person are not measured by the number of victories you acquire but in your willingness to admit defeat when you know you’ve lost.
Oftentimes, we are given problems and dilemmas that will test our ability to deal with life. It’s difficult to accept things that give us pain and suffering. But acceptance is not merely ‘admitting defeat’ or ‘ceasing to fight’ or ’surrendering’. When you look at it in a much bigger perspective, it’s actually embracing the truth and welcoming the bittersweet fact that there is a reason why these things have to happen to us when they do. It’s especially difficult when you don’t see that “reason”, and you feel so miserable… but once your heart is really open for acceptance, you have to have faith too — that God has a plan, and that there is something else waiting for you.

It is very difficult to embrace the truth, especially if this truth is more bitter than sweet. But it always turn to better if you stop trying to hide and avoid facing it…
It is amazing when you accept yourself into God’s hand. The stress and the worries go away. You leave your life in God’s hand and live your life according to God’s plan and know that “there is something else waiting for you”.
I remember when I truly accepted God and let myself go free. It was a relief words cannot even describe. I was stubborn at first and didn’t take it too seriously, but when the time came, it just happened. I realized it was my time and God had a plan for me.
My whole life changed since then. I looked at my life in a whole different way. People that haven’t reached this part or just don’t want to have anything to do with it, they don’t understand the impact it has. Times are tough right now, but I pray everyday that relief will come and my family will prosper.
Your words gave me goose pimples. I was recently robbed at gunpoint and had some things taken from me. I have spent the past few thinking about what I could have done, what I should have done, etc… I have come to realize that I could have been shot or even worse. God does have a plan…
Your writing is so elegantly stated and God has blessed you with such a gift.
So true in what you have shared and most of the time we don’t realize that most times when the problems and dilemma arise in our lives it is from choices that we have made. No matter how large or small. What comes out of the problems and dilemmas is what we do with our actions and reactions.
Sometimes God will send us a message through someone else with something we may be struggling with and it is like wow!! A friend told me one not long ago about a retreat that he went on. When they arrived they were asked to write all of their sins on a piece of paper and said no one will see them. When you are done wade the paper up. There was a large bowl with a fire in it and they were told to put their papers in the fire. He told them that is how quick God forgives us of our sins when we ask and never thought of again…let go…being free…
God Bless you for such a wonderful blog and I pray that many will find what they are looking for when they come here, whether it be for inspiration at the moment or finding God.
