I Give You My Heart

If I give you my heart, will you promise to take good care of it? I’m scared to trust again, because I was once hurt by love. I spent so long fixing my heart, picking up the broken pieces and slowly putting them back together again. If I give you my heart, I’ll have to take a risk again. But I’m willing to take that risk now, because I know you’re worth it. I’m starting to smile again because of you. Because of you, I’m slowly learning to love again. When I give my heart to you, you’ll have power over me like no one else has. But I’m entrusting it to you, hoping that you’ll treat it with love and care. If I give my heart to you, will you give me yours too?
