Charmed Farewell
CHARMED has got to be my favorite TV show of all time! Ever since Day 1, I’ve followed this amazing series, and I have to say, it’s been part of my life since! They’ve been over for years now, but I still can’t get enough of it!
Charmed is a very popular show, but for those of you who are not familiar with it, let me just squeeze in a quick description. The show is about three sisters who are the world’s most powerful good witches, known throughout the supernatural community as “The Charmed Ones” but known to everyone else as the Halliwells. Each sister possesses unique magical powers that grow and evolve over the course of their lives. The Charmed Ones live together in a manor and use their supernatural abilities to battle the warlocks and demons and other evil forces that populate San Francisco, California.
It is such a terrific show. Personally, I’m very much fascinated by magic, and the thought of having special powers just piques my interest to no end. I especially like the fact that the show doesn’t just focus on magic or witchcraft alone, but they also portray the sisters as normal people, with normal lives (except they have to fight demons, which is not THAT normal, hehe). But anyway, I can totally relate! I remember all too well how the show made me laugh and cry, and gave me all these different emotions even from watching just one episode. I would anxiously wait for the next episode every week, and it’s just been part of my weekly routine that when for some reason, I don’t get to watch one episode, I would get really down and pissed off. Hehe.
I guess what I’m really trying to say is… I love, love, love the show! Charmed is a show packed with action, drama, humor, magic, all rolled into one! What more could you ask for, right? But like everything else, all good things must come to an end. The show ended after it’s 8th season in 2006, and needless to say, I’m one of the thousands of people out there who wished Charmed had stayed on forever. But! As I say farewell to Charmed, I’m not completely sad, because I got myself a complete set of Charmed DVD’s from season 1-8! Yay! Now I get to watch my favorite episodes over and over again! Ain’t it grand?!

I remember when it first came out on South African television my mother was very distraught - she didn’t feel it was a good thing for “Christians” to watch but she left me to watch it.

I haven’t watched the show as I am a fan of suspense kinda shows like the CSI series..
But after reading your post I guess I will have to get hold of the youtube links for this series. You know any??
I know what your saying. It is my fave show af all time too and till now I still watch my complete DVD collection during days when I need to feel charmed. Gosh I even memorize some of their spells! Sometimes I hope that we can fix life with a little magic hahaha
I can’t get over Phoebe’s clothes and men but glad she finally settles down with a cupid name Cupe.
Piper as usual brings the balance in the group from start to end.
I miss Prudence but Page’s character wasn’t all that bad (although her face started to change towards the last part of the show).
Leo will always be Leo as a white lighter, elder, avatar or mortal.
The grown up Wyatt and Chris as just as cute as the baby ones.
SO I guess you can say I’m just as addicted as you to Charmed hehehe
glad to hear i’m not the only one who’s addicted to charmed. hehe. it’s a one of a kind series, in my opinion. i would have wanted a spinoff, but i guess it’s better this way… at least it ended well…
