I attended a friend’s wedding this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised when my friend (the bride) sang one of my favorite songs ever, Something In Your Eyes, by Dusty Springfield. She cried when she was singing, and I almost cried with her. I love the song so much, that’s why I couldn’t help but become teary-eyed while I was watching her sing the song to her new husband. Theirs is a beautiful love story and I’m so happy she found her perfect match. Check out the lyrics of the song here.

I think Something In Your Eyes is a really beautiful song. It has such a wonderful melody, and the words have so much meaning. I love Dusty’s voice on it too. Try to listen to the message of the song, and I’m sure, if you have experienced love, or know what love is, you’ll appreciate the song. It speaks of love, how after all the waiting and loving, they end up together, forever. Seeing that something in your lover’s eyes, you know where you’re life is leading to… a life with that person. If I were to get married someday to the love of my life, I’ll definitely sing this song to him. What can I say, I’m a hopeless romantic, so just listening to this song, gives me goosebumps.

Seeing my dear friend marry the person she loves and the perfect match for her… it’s a wonderful feeling. I could see the happiness and love in their eyes as they looked at each other. There’s something in their eyes that’s unmistakably real and true. It’s wonderfully amazing to see my friend so radiant and happy on her wedding day. She has been through so much in her life, and she deserves this guy who loves her unconditionally. I’m just so happy for her.
