A Very Special Hug

I’ve written a post before about the power of a hug, and I’ve said that hugs are really powerful gestures of love and care that we don’t do often enough. It’s such a shame that people don’t give hugs enough. But there’s one kind of hug that is so special and wonderful that I think we should experience at least once in our lifetime. And that’s the hug of that special someone in our life… our partner, boyfriend, or husband.

Romantic love is the most magical and breathtaking love there is (second to our love relationship with God of course). It’s something that everyone on earth should be able to experience, rich or poor, in whatever walks of life. And the power of a romantic hug, should never be underestimated. It’s a wonderful indescribable feeling to be hugged by the person that you love most in the world, the one guy that makes your heart beat faster and slower, the one guy that makes your stomach flutter and your skin tingle with his very touch.

Pure romantic love is so beautiful that it’s impossible to be in a romantic relationship without ever having the urge to hug your partner. I guess everyone would agree with me on this, right? A hug is an expression of love and care, and being hugged by a person you love, and who loves you back… it’s an amazing feeling.

For me, ultimately, it makes me feel safe and loved. Sometimes I’d even choose a hug over a kiss. It has such a powerful effect on me… when I can feel his arms wrapped around me, I can hear his heartbeat when I lean my head on his chest, I could smell his scent… it’s a very special hug that’s beyond compare. We get hugs from family and friends, but the one that we get from a romantic love, is very special. It’s the kind of hug that touches the soul and wraps lovingly around the heart.

How do you feel when a loved one hugs you?

Senior Health Care

angel on Jul-5-2008

Time flies so fast, we get older by the day, and it’s just a matter of time before we actually are old enough to be called senior citizens. I’m in my early 20’s and you’d think I shouldn’t be talking about getting old since I have a long way to go before I reach that stage. Still, sometimes, I can’t help but think about where I’m gonna be when I’m old and wrinkly and retired. Will I be with family or friends? What if I won’t ever get married and I won’t have a family to take care of me in the future? Well, luckily there are facilities that take care of people who cannot live independently. These places provide assisted living facilities to people who are 60 years and above, and they differ from nursing homes in the sense that they don’t really require nurses or doctors on site. But they do provide activities and they have staff available to provide assistance and guidance. With these facilities, old people who have no families to take care of them can rest easy knowing that they can be well taken care of.
