Remember The Cross

angel on Jun-27-2008

jesus_cross_crucifixion.jpgI read a chapter about The Cross today. It was such a heartfelt passage that I cried.

What’s the meaning of the Cross anyway? Most Catholics simply know that it signifies the death of Jesus Christ, but some don’t realize the true meaning of it. Sometimes, I don’t fully grasp the importance of it and the extraordinary meaning behind it. But when I read that particular chapter, I was deeply moved.

So why did Jesus die in the Cross? He was innocent and pure, right? He didn’t deserve to be subjected to the harsh and cruel treatment that was given Him. So why did it have to happen? Why did He have to SUFFER and DIE? The answer is simple. He did it for You and Me. He did it because HE LOVES US. He did it because it was the only way for us to be saved and our sins to be forgiven. Yes, sinning is part of our humanity, but we shouldn’t downplay it or say that it’s no big deal. Because sins are, in fact, a big deal. And Jesus was willing to sacrifice His own life, so these very sins won’t destroy us.

I know you’ve probably already heard this over and over again, in sermons, in Church, from pastors, and some of you might just dismiss it as, “Oh yeah, I already know that.” And I don’t mean to sound preachy or anything. But really, try and let this shocking truth capture your hearts. Coz it’s such a beautiful truth. Jesus loves us so much, He was willing to die and suffer, so we could live. Imagine that! We’ve made a lot of mistakes in our lives, we’ve sinned many times and we deserve all the pain and punishment for our sins. And yet, there He was, He took it all, even though He didn’t deserve any of it, so we wouldn’t have to.

See how unconditional His love is? And what about God? Do you realize how much God loves us too? He sent His only Son to save us. He loves Jesus so much, but He allowed His only Son to die and suffer for the sins of the world. I hope you realize the enormity of this sacrifice. He rejected His own Son so our sins will be forgiven! We put Jesus on the Cross, it was our sins that put Him on the Cross, but He did it, because He loves us.

If you’re reading this now, and you acknowledge that you’ve sinned, don’t think that because your sins are great, you will not be forgiven. Don’t think that because your sin is bigger than those of other people, God will take a longer time to forgive you. All sins, big or small, are the same in God’s eyes. So, no matter where you are, remember the Cross. Remember that Jesus loves you so much, He died for you. Remember the image of Jesus Christ’s extended arms, nailed on the cross, saying, “This is how much I love you. Believe and repent.”

Sink Made Of Glass

angel on Jun-26-2008

I’ve always been fascinated with interior design. I love to look at magazines that feature how a room is designed, from the color theme to the individual furniture and decorations. Not that I’m any good at decorating, but I love to look at how a room really comes together, the transformation that occurs with just the right touch and concept. Fast forward to the future, when I have my own house. I see in my mind’s eye how it would look like, the bedrooms, the kitchen, the bathroom.

Just now, I came across an interesting piece of fixture, a glass sink. I looked into it, and I thought to myself, “Why not?” It would certainly look cool and elegant in a bathroom. Not only that, they’re durable too and easy to clean. Just use mild soap and water and you’re good to go. The thing is, this kind of sink provides a fresh new look to any bathroom. And also, I don’t know about you, but personally, I love hearing the splash of water against glass. It’s so refreshing and calm. I think I’ll definitely consider this when I’m ready to build my own house someday.

A Different Kind Of Peace

angel on Jun-25-2008

I feel so at peace now. I don’t know exactly at what point I was able to feel this way, but I’m so at peace with the state of my emotions now, it’s great.

Like I’ve said, I’ve realized a lot of things these past month. But lately, this peace that I’ve been experiencing, it’s a different kind of peace and I’m telling you, it’s wonderful. I realized that I’ve been creating my own kind of peace, for so long. In the past, I felt peaceful every time things go my way, like when things are going well at work, with my family, with my friends and loved one… but now I realize that even though I can create some kind of peace by my own, it’s of a poor kind. It’s shallow and fleeting.

But this peace that I’m experiencing right now, it doesn’t come from me or from anyone else. It comes from God. I know this because it’s such a different kind of peace, one that’s pure and encompassing. I can’t really describe it, it’s a kind of inner light that sustains me throughout the day. Don’t get me wrong, I still feel sad sometimes, and scared too. But somewhere deep inside, a certain kind of peace steadies me, calms me, and keeps me going.

Now I recognize the difference. And I’ll have God’s peace any day. :)

When You Walked Away

angel on Jun-25-2008

left-behind.jpg

I thought you said it would be you and me forever… I thought you said you’d never leave… You said you’d never stop loving me, and I believed you. But then one day, you walked away… I don’t know what went wrong… I wanted to stop you, but I wasn’t sure I could… or if I even should…

There have been times in the past when you walked away from me but you always came back… But now it’s different… I have this hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach, that this time, you’ll be gone for good… And it hurts… To watch the man I love leaving… To watch my baby walk away from me… But I know you had to…

When you walked away… I felt no bitterness or regret as I slowly watched your back disappear from view… What I felt was bittersweet longing of a love that once was, but never will be again… And now you’re gone to a place where I couldn’t be with you… Where all our memories will, from now on, only be from a distant past… You don’t need me anymore… So I’m letting you go, and I’ll send all my love with you…

“When these days are gone, when the love you once feel for me slowly fades away, when your smile and laugh is only here as a dream, and when the words ‘I love you’ are scripts of the past, I’ll always have the memories that were once moments, and I’ll always know that no matter what, I got the chance to love you the best way I can.”

Personal Injury Lawyers

angel on Jun-24-2008

Every year, millions of people are injured in accidents, and a large percentage die as a result. Aside from the pain of the physical injury itself, victims also suffer mental shock or trauma from these accidents. Physical injuries may be permanent and this horror is very real and life-changing for the victims. That’s why it is essential to give them as much support as possible. These victims have the right to seek help and be compensated for their losses.

Personal injury cases are complicated and may take a lot of time and energy. That’s why it’s important to choose a lawyer that can help you through the entire process, not just legally, but also emotionally and mentally. It’s good if you have a ready available resource so you won’t have to search long and hard, especially if you need a lawyer immediately. I have this friend in the States that even keeps a list of Chicago personal injury lawyers in his wallet. He says you can never tell when accidents will strike. And it’s true.

I’ll Miss You

angel on Jun-24-2008

miss-you.jpg

It’s been a while… I should say,
But still feels like yesterday…
When you held my hand and touched my face,
When you hugged me close in a warm embrace…
Sometimes I could still hear your laughter,
Ever so slowly, softened into a whisper…
At times, I could still feel your kiss,
As I reminisce the times I so often miss…
I miss our talks and our moments together,
The special times we thought would last forever…
But now you’re gone and I’m left feeling blue,
Can’t deny the fact that I’m missing you…
But as a tear falls from the corner of my eye,
I know I have to stop believing this lie…
Wherever you are, I hope you feel it too,
And know that for always, I’ll miss you…

Easy And Secure Online Payments

angel on Jun-24-2008

Nowadays, you can do almost anything in the Internet. You can shop online, study, chat, research, and even pay your bills online. This is the beauty of technology, the beauty of the Internet. All you need is a credit card, and you can buy stuff. Personally, I find it convenient that I am able to check out some products online and with just a few clicks, I can buy what I want.

Of course some people are hesitant to purchase anything online because they’re worried that online payments are not secure. But don’t worry, there are companies out there who specialize in providing secure online payment processing. One company I stumbled upon is Merchant Focus. They use a payment gateway, which allows credit card holders to securely process payment transactions online. Their partner authorize.net is the leading provider of payment gateway services, and both companies are working hard to ensure that our transactions online are safe and secure.

With these safety measures, you can shop and purchase the things you need without worry and hassle. It’s a good thing that these companies were created. It protects both buyers and sellers as they do business online.

A Short Story

heaven-and-hell.jpg

A boy promised the girl he loved dearly…

Boy: Nothing can take me away from you too long…

But one day, he had an accident and died. The girl was so miserable that she took her own life. An angel in heaven told the boy the sad news. Suddenly, the boy attacked the angel. He was sentenced to hell. There, he found the girl crying.

He hugged her and said: “Remember what I told you? Nothing can take me away from you too long… Not even heaven and angels.”

Prepare For The Future

angel on Jun-23-2008

Life is too short. I was reminded again by this as I watched the news last Sunday. I watched as families cried over their lost loved ones because of the ferocious storm that struck this weekend.

Let’s face it, accidents will always be part of life. We never know when our life will end. When a person dies, it’s especially difficult for family members left behind, because not only will they deal with the painful loss of a loved one, but they also have to shoulder the burden of expenses that goes along with it. And what about those who have kids that are depending on them for survival? That’s why it’s important to be ready at all times. This is where insurance comes in handy.

There are lots of life insurance policies out there today, but you need to be wise and choose the right one for you. To do this, first you have to receive a life insurance quote to match your profile, so you’re sure you’ll get the best possible policy. It always pays to be ready and prepared.
