Medical ID Jewelry

angel on Jun-18-2008

Recently, I visited the hospital to check on a sick friend who has diabetes Type 1. I noticed she had this nice silver bracelet on her wrist that has a logo and inscription on it. She saw me looking and showed the bracelet to me, explaining what it was. She said it was a medical identification tag. That was the first time I saw one actually.

In our world today, everything is hip and cool now, even medical id tags. They can now be worn on bracelets, watches, even pendants, bearing the wearer’s medical condition. They are used with the intention that wherever the patients go, physicians and medical personnel will know of their condition, especially if they are not capable of explaining their condition.

There is a wide variety of medical jewelry available out in the market today. And it’s a great and cool way to let other people be aware of a person’s condition, and it’s also an efficient way to get help fast. Just one look at the ID and physicians will know exactly what to do, no more explaining or questions needed. I think it’s really useful.
