Today I have decided to give MYSELF
a second chance…
Today, I will begin to love ME…
Instead of working so hard to
love you…
Today, I will give myself permission
to begin to heal…
and allow myself to step out of
the sick cycle that we have been
living in…
And to be happy
again….
I will remember today…
that i am not responsible for your feelings…
I cannot change…
how you feel about me…
or how you feel
about you….
Today I will celebrate ME….
Instead of worrying about
you….
Today, I have decided….
to stop focusing on your face….
to stop examining your eyes….
I have decided
to stop investigating…
to stop trying to figure out
why…
Today I will let go of my need
for answers…
my need for your truth…
Today, my truth is enough
for me…
Today, I will turn away from this
illness….
that we call love…
I will lift my face to the sun…
and i will feel the warmth…
that has been missing…
in my soul…
I will once again…
find the magic….
that made me happy
to be alive…
Today,
I will take responsibility for my
own happiness….
or sadness….
If I am no longer allowing you
to pull the strings,
I can no longer blame you
for my misery….
Today I have decided to
honor who you are….
to acknowledge your ability
to make your own decisions
and walk your own path…
Yet, I will also honor myself…
And realize that I too…
Can make my own decisions…
And walk my own path….
I realize today….
That although our destination
is the same…
We do not need
to always walk the path
together….
We will eventually reach
our goal…
Each in our own way….
and at our own pace….
And I choose to start my journey….
