I Never Found The Time

angel on Mar-15-2007

god.jpg

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease…..
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They’d laugh at me I’d fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
“Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down…
But never found the time”

You Are Special

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” Hands started going up.

He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but, first, let me do this.” He proceeded to crumple the $20 dollar bill up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.

Well, he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

“Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt but the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO love you.”

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. “You are special—Don’t EVER forget it.” Count your blessings, not your problems. Never be afraid to try something new.

And remember, amateurs built the ark…professionals built the Titanic.

Life Is A Game

angel on Mar-15-2007

5balls.JPG

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them — work, family, health, friends and spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls — family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.

You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.

HOW?

1. Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

2. Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only

3. Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as you would your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

4. Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

5. Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

6. Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to each together.

7. Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

8. Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

9. Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’re been, but also where you are going.

10. Don’t forget that a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated. Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.

11. Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

12. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

An Amazing Love Story

angel on Mar-15-2007

foods_242.gifHe met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.

They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home…. suddenly he asked the waiter. “would you please give me some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee.”

Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously; why you have this hobby? He replied: “when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there”. While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That’s his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!

Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life… And every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that’s the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: “My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you—the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything.

Now I’m dying, I’m afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don’t like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste. But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again”.

Her tears made the letter totally wet. Someday, someone asked her: what’s the taste of salty coffee? It’s sweet. She replied.

Love is not to forget but to forgive, not to see but to understand, not to hear but to listen, not to let go but to HOLD ON.

Mending A Broken Heart

angel on Mar-15-2007

  • HAVE A GOOD CRY, play your favorite sad songs and yearn for all the good times you and your lost love shared. A little bittersweet nostalgia is good, but don’t overdo it.
  • DON’T KEEP YOUR SORROW ALL TO YOURSELF. Find someone to confide in. But don’t pour out your woes to every friend. It’ll label you a whore.
  • Once you’ve had your fill of self pity, START SHUTTING DOWN YOUR MEMORY BANKS on everything about the ill-fated romance. Lose yourself in your job or a hobby. Take a vacation or meet new people.
  • At all costs, AVOID RUNNING INTO YOUR EX. Don’t try to find out who he or she is going with now. You’ll only be piling on the agony.
  • If you do catch yourself thinking about your former heartthrob, concentrate on all the things that used to infuriate you.
  • REMEMBER, HE OR SHE ISN’T THE ONLY REASON IN THE WORLD YOU CAN LOVE. There are thousands of candidates out there. When you’re ready, you’ll meet one.

“Yes, love is beautiful. It can do miracles to some people. But it can also break an innocent heart. It hurts so much you wouldn’t really know how to get over it. Especially if it’s the first time you fall in love. But despite all the heartaches it brings you, you can never learn to forget the very first time you loved. As a matter of fact, the pain is what makes it unforgettable.”

Like Or Love?

Difference between the one you like and the one you love:

In front of the person you like, your heart beats faster. But in front of the person you love, you get happy.

In front of the person you love, winter seems like spring. But in front of the person you like, winter is just beautiful winter.

If you look into the eyes of the one you like, you blush. But if you look into the eyes of the one you love, you smile.

In front of the person you like, you can’t say everything on your mind. But in front of the person you love, you can.

In front of the person you like, you tend to get shy.
But in front of the person you love, you can show your own self.

You can’t look straight into the eyes of the one you like.
But you can always smile and stare into the eyes of the one you love.

When the one you like is crying, you end up comforting.
When the one you love is crying, you cry with them.

The feeling of like starts from the ear.
But the feeling of love starts from the eye.

So if you stop liking a person you used to like, all you need to do is cover your ears. But if you try to close your eyes, love turns into a drop of tear and remains in your heart forever.

Sad But True

angel on Mar-15-2007

11585.jpgIf you see me walking the road with someone else… It’s not because I like his company, it’s because you’re not brave enough to walk beside me.

If you hear me talking about him all the time… It’s not because he pleases me, it’s because you’re too deaf to hear my heartbeat.

If you feel me falling with someone new… It’s not because I love him, it’s because you’re not there to catch me if I fall.

If you feel lost, I too am nowhere…

I too don’t know where the road is going.

Are we going to cross each other’s path…? Or just completely turn around? Will we just let go of what we had… Or go to the place where love is bound.

Don’t let me walk with him… It’s you I want to walk with.
Don’t let me talk of him… It’s you I want to talk with.
Don’t let me fall for him… It’s you I want to fall in love with.

The ANSWER:

When you thought I wasn’t brave enough to walk beside you… I was behind you every step of the way… Still filled with awe because of the beauty that stands before me.

When you thought I was too deaf to hear your heartbeat… I didn’t want to assume anything, and I was afraid to lose our friendship.

When you thought I wasn’t there to catch you… It was because you never gave me the chance. You never reached the bottom; you’ve already grabbed a branch.

If you feel like you are nowhere, I too am lost… I too don’t know where the road is going.

Are we just going to turn around, or are we going to cross each others path? Will we just let go of what we had, or go to the place where love is bound?

Don’t let me walk alone… I want to walk by your side.
Don’t let me talk of something else; it’s you I want to talk with.
Don’t let me fall for someone else; it’s you I want to fall in love with.

“There are some people who meet that somebody that they can never stop loving, no matter how hard they try; there are some love that just don’t go away. And maybe that makes them crazy, but we should all be lucky to end up with that somebody who has a little of that insanity.”

Believe In Yourself

angel on Mar-15-2007

11583.jpgSometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there. To serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way. And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.

The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and to open your heart and eyes to little things. Make every day count.

Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.

Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

“If you take your eyes off your goals, all you see are obstacles.”

Affairs of the Heart

angel on Mar-15-2007

11581.jpg

1. It hurts to love someone and never be loved in return, but what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

3. Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, and the romance in a relationship- and find out you still care for that person.

4. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

5. When the door of happiness closes, another opens but oftentimes we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

6. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and it was the best conversation you’ve ever had.

7. It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.

8. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they’ll love you back! don’t expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn’t, be content it grew in yours.

9. There are things you’d love to hear that you would never hear from the person whom you would like to hear them from, but don’t be so deaf as not to hear it from the one who says it from his heart.

10. Never say goodbye if you still want to try-never give up if you still feel you can go on-never say you don’t love a person anymore if you can’t let go.

11. Love comes to those who still hope although they’ve been disappointed-to those who still believe although they’ve been betrayed, need to love those who still love although they’ve been hurt before.

12. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone - but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

13. Don’t go for looks; they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Hope you find the one that makes you smile.

14. There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real! Hope you dream of that special someone.

15. Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

16. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy and enough money to buy me gifts.

17. Always put yourself in others’ shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person, too.

18. A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless.

19. The beginning of love is to let those we love be just themselves and not twist them with our own image-otherwise, we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.

20. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

21. Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.

22. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

23. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can’t go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
